Present Status and Countermeasure of Rational Soil Reuse after Remediation

Soil contamination has been one of the most concerned environmental problems in China,as soil is an important environmental element around human being.Especially in some of the coastal territories,the soil quality evaluation and contaminated soil remediation have fallen behind of the construction site development.As far,the Soil Pollution Prevention Act is still progressing at the very beginning stage of exploration in our country,providing that the practice of managing remediated soil would often come across technical challenges and management issues because of the defective mechanism.This paper illustrates how the rational soil reuse working framework was established,based on adequate study on the present status of soil management in China and oversea,to meet the demand of soil reuse,as keeping the soil form and functions,after remediation in a common industrial site.More importantly,the soil quality evaluation program would be streamlined by optimizing the existing human health risk assessment model,and therefore some sensible engineering control practice would be suggested for the rational soil reuse on both agricultural land and construction sites.
