  • The 4GP-1A is a small tracked self-propelled cutting and paving sugarcane harvester. It features modular design, fully hydraulic drive, compact size, light weight, flexible transfer in the fields,and high operating efficiency. It is suitable for sugarcane harvesting operations in small and narrow fields in hilly areas of the southern china. The structure and parameters of the sugarcane harvester are detailed in the paper. Field trials have shown that the total loss rate is 2.3%, the ratoon breakage rate is 6.2%, the laying angle is 90±14°, and the root difference is 210 mm. The performances indicators meet the requirements of the agricultural machinery promotion and appraisal outline. The 4GP-1A sugarcane harvester meets the design requirements.
