Application and Analysis of Water Spray Technology in End-of-pipe Gas Treatment of Large-scale Pig Houses

  • The construction of modern large-scale pig farms is more centralized, with high livestock density and the production of large amounts of gas every day, with complex gas components. The gas in the pig house is usually discharged by the end ventilation equipment. Influenced by African swine fever and environmental protection policies, new or expanded pig farms now come equipped with deodorizing systems, which mainly use water spray technology for treatment. This article explains the source of end-of-pipe gas in pig houses and its impact on pigs, personnel, and the ecological environment, analyzes the principles of water spray treatment technology and the application of treatment equipment, and puts forward possible engineering problems and future research directions for the use of water spray treatment in pig houses. The aim is to provide research and application support for the technical equipment of gas emissions treatment in large-scale pig houses and the sustainable development of modern pig farms.
