Research Status of Litchi Processing Technology in China

The planting area,output and output value of litchi in China rank first in the world,but litchi is mostly sold as fresh fruit,and the processing volume of litchi accounts for only 13% of the total output,while the post harvest loss of litchi accounts for 15%～20%.Advanced post harvest commercialization processing technology and litchi processing technology and equipment are conducive to reduce post harvest circulation loss,enrich post harvest processing technology of litchi,further improve litchi added value,prolong litchi processing cycle,improve equipment utilization rate,increase enterprise benefits,and better promote the healthy and balanced development of litchi industry.
