Abstract:
In order to precisely and quickly control the heating temperature of the steel plate in the heating process, combining the theory of electromagnetic induction, the temperature differential equations and the maxwell’s equations, the finite element models coupling temperature field and electromagnetic field was built. And the resistance heating method and electromagnetic induction heating method used in heat treatment were simulated and analyzrd by using ANSYS-APDL of finite element analysis software. The results show that the highest heating temperature of steel plate in resistance heating method is increased with the decrease of plate thickness and the increase of heating time, and the highest heating temperature of steel plate in electromagnetic induction heating method is increased with the increase of electromagnetic induction coil diameter. Under the condition of the same thickness of plate and the same heating time, the resistance heating method has a slow heating rate and easy temperature control, while the electromagnetic induction heating method has a fast heating rate and high heating efficiency.
