Abstract: Agricultural technology extension is a key link in the transformation process of agricultural scientific and technological achievements into real productive forces. Promoting the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas in the new period gives urgent request for transformation and upgrading of traditional agricultural technology extension model. Pilot program of the cooperative extension of major agricultural technologies has explored a new mechanism, opening up a new path to break through "the last kilometer" of agricultural science and technology and boost rural comprehensive revitalization. Based on an wide survey of eight pilot provinces, including Jilin, Jiangxi, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangxi and Sichuan, it was analyzed and sorted out the main methods of coordinated promotion of major agricultural technologies, studied and summarized new mechanisms that were different from traditional models. The results indicated that in the course of implementation, the pilot program had formed the "efficient collaboration" organization mechanism, the "win-win" benefit linking mechanism and the "two-way feedback" information exchange mechanism. It was realized the efficient coordination of agricultural technology extension and effectively overcomed the era dilemma faced by the traditional extension model. Thus, it is necessary to vigorously promote the new pattern in the new period. At the same time, in view of the existing problems, this paper puts forward corresponding policy suggestions on how to better implement the pilot program of cooperative extension of major agricultural technologies.
