Abstract:
In order to improve the ability and influence of agricultural engineering academic journals, this paper analyzes the basic situation of the journals, manuscripts and review, editing and publishing methods of the journals, professional quality of the editors, influence of the journals and academic orientation through questionnaire survey. The results show that the majority of agricultural engineering journals are monthly journals, accounting for 63.2%, and the periodical publishing cycle is long. More than 50% of the respondents said they did not have a collection and editing system. The digital publishing form of CNKI/Wanfang database is the main one, accounting for 46.6%, the number of digital publications conducted through websites accounted for 27.18%, 28.16% of digital publications were published in the form of mobile APP debut, 28.16% have independent digital publishing forms. The largest number of papers received annually is less than 500, manuscript utilization rate between 25% and 50% is the highest, and the utilization rate of 23.3% of manuscripts was even higher than 75%. More than 50% of the respondents were not satisfied or very dissatisfied with the quality of manuscripts. Those who think the editorial board plays little or no role in improving the quality of journals account for 49.52%. Those who have not suggested a long-term communication mechanism between the editorial department and the editorial committee accounted for 62.14%. By analyzing the survey data, the paper points out that the current agricultural engineering academic journals still have a management system to a large extent, which is easy to cause the journal resources scattered and the publication cycle is long. The technical means of dissemination and publication are relatively backward; lack of high-quality manuscripts; in order to strengthen the academic guidance and enhance the academic influence of the periodical, the author puts forward some concrete measures from three aspects: periodical orientation, periodical mode and factors of periodical running.
