Abstract:
In order to identify the main factors affecting farmers’ adoption behavior of advanced technology for agricultural machinery and promote high quality and efficient development of agricultural mechanization, this paper using the logistic model analyzed the influence of personal characteristics, family characteristics, technology usefulness, technology ease of use and social environment, based on questionnaire survey data of 339 peasant households. The results showed that education level, household income, improving efficiency, improving working environment, availability, convenience of operation, government support and neighborhood influence exhibited significant positive influence on the adoption of agricultural machinery advanced technology to farmers. Household income, improving working environment and government support were significant at the level of 1%, improving efficiency, convenience of operation and neighborhood influence were significant at the level of 5%, education level and availability were significant at the level of 10%; and the number of agricultural machinery was a significant negative influence at the level of 10%. Finally, the paper suggested formulation of targeted policies and measures by relevant departments to promote training of agricultural machinery practitioners, strengthen publicity and promotion, and increase support to advanced technology.
