Abstract:
Aiming at the solar greenhouse of south-north ridge planting mode, without inter-row roads or suspended guideway, row-side spraying operations with centrifugal atomizing and air-assisted technologies can be useful. In the paper, the volume median diameter and relative span as the indicators, the spray distance, the speed of the centrifugal nozzle, and the rate of flow as the factors, droplet diameter’s factor test and droplet diameter model calibration test conducted for the cart-type electric centrifugal atomizing sprayer equipped with the intermittent spraying control system with row-side spraying operations. The results showed that: The rate of flow could be linearly fitted by its motor duty, and so could the speed of the centrifugal nozzle; For the median diameter of the volume, the spray distance negatively correlated to it as the duty cycle of the centrifugal nozzle’s motor is 15%, the speed of the centrifugal nozzle negatively correlated to it for any spray distance or rate of flow, the rate of flow positively correlated to it for any the speed of the centrifugal nozzle; The relative span was positively correlated with the speed of the centrifugal nozzle or the rate of flow. With the non-linear regression fitting method, the initial droplet diameter model related to the speed of the centrifugal nozzle and the rate of flow was established under the spray distance of 0.50-1.00 m by the nonlinear regression fitting method. Within the ratio range pulse width, the volume median diameter could be adjusted from 46.9 to 100.3 μm, which met the diameter requirements of droplets in different situations.
