Abstract:
The Helmholtz-type pulsating burner is widely applied and has a good prospect at present. It offers numerous advantages, including environmental protection and energy saving, high combustion efficiency, excellent heat transfer characteristics, high thermal efficiency, and minimal pollutant emissions. The application of the Helmholtz-type pulsating burner in the development of pest control equipment is of great significant importance for stabilizing crop production, enhancing crop quality, increasing planting benefits, and advancing scientific and environmentally friendly plant protection, which is contributing to ecological sustainability. This article outlines the working principle of the Helmholtz-type pulsating combustor, reviews the current research and development status of pulsating combustors, and summarizes its application in pest control. However, current portable pulsating combustion pest control equipment faces ergonomic deficiencies, unclear coupling relationships in the thermal power source of soil steam sterilizers, insufficient research into pulsating combustion mechanisms, and a low level of intelligence in equipment structure. It is proposed to apply modern technology to study pulsating combustion mechanisms, develop new structures and models for pulsating combustion pest control equipment, utilize intelligent and modern technologies to develop large-scale, vehicle-mounted pest control machinery, and advance the development of intelligent control modules for pulsating combustion pest control machinery.
