Abstract: Under the new background of Agriculture 4.0, the discipline of agricultural engineering relies on the mutual penetration and integration of agronomy, engineering, biology, information, etc. Based on the knowledge form of the discipline of agricultural engineering, this paper explores the discipline organization form and activity form: to establish a new knowledge organization model of “agricultural engineering+X”, to build a resource coordination platform with deep integration across colleges, and to build an organized scientific research model connecting the demand chain, to build an interdisciplinary innovation team through internal training and external introduction, deeply to empower discipline members based on the academic atmosphere, to pry the underlying logic of discipline construction from the root, and to inject vitality and vitality into the development of agricultural engineering discipline. Jiangsu University has achieved high-quality development of agricultural engineering discipline by establishing special zones for agricultural engineering discipline, improving the collaborative productivity of discipline knowledge, forming a strong agricultural equipment innovation chain, and establishing a project-driven team-driven model.
