Abstract: Sichuan is an important main grain producing area in China. Restricted by factors such as terrain conditions, planting system and management mode, the development process of agricultural mechanization is still slow, and the rate of agricultural mechanization has always been at the bottom of the country. By visiting, investigating and consulting relevant statistical data, this paper sorted out the current situation of main crop production in Sichuan Province, and sorted out the current situation of agricultural mechanization development in Sichuan Province from five aspects such as agricultural mechanization rate, agricultural machinery retention, agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises, agricultural machinery scientific research and agricultural machinery socialization service. The analysis found that there were still problems in agricultural mechanization in Sichuan Province, such as unreasonable supply structure of agricultural machinery and equipment, imperfect social service system of agricultural machinery and unbalanced regional development of agricultural machinery. It is suggested to further strengthen the research and development of agricultural machinery in weak links, enhance the support for agricultural machinery in hilly and mountainous areas, focus on cultivating and expanding new agricultural business entities, and strengthen the construction of agricultural mechanization production conditions.
