Abstract: Since its establishment in 2002,no taxonomic study on the genus Eurhynchiastrum Ignatov ＆Huttunen has been carried out in China.Based on the related specimens and literatures,the authors conducted an investigation on the genus in China.The results showed that the genus was distributed in China with a single species,E.pulchellum（Hedw.） Ignatov ＆ Huttunen.The morphological characters,habitats and geographical distribution of the species were described.Additionally,a plate illustrating the main morphological features was provided,and a discussion on the comparison among allied genera and species was included.Furthermore,the potential geographic distribution of E.pulchellum in China was predicted.
