Estimation of evapotranspiration of banana plants in a greenhouse

An experiment was conducted in a greenhouse to study the relationship between evapotranspiration of banana plants(ET) and climatic factors. Reference evaportranspiration(ET₀) inside the greenhouse was calculated using five popular methods. Water evaporation(E) inside the greenhouse was also measured using a 20 cm diameter pan. Results showed that, the determination coefficient(R²) of 0.94 between ET and E was higher than that between ET and ET₀ computed using the five methods, which ranged from 0.47 to 0.60. E was linearly related to ET and recommended to estimated crop ET inside a greenhouse.
